ROB FISCHER

A well-known sports personality in the Mid-South, Rob Fischer is in his 12th season as the Memphis Grizzlies television sideline reporter on FoxSportsSoutheast. He also provides complete breakdowns and in-depth analysis on Grizzlies LIVE! pregame and postgame shows alongside television analyst Brevin Knight and Grind City Media digital host Chris Vernon.

Fischer hosts “Fish ‘N Stats” on Sports 56 WHBQ (560 AM/87.7 FM) from 3-6 p.m. weekdays with Brett Norsworthy. After moving to Memphis in 2002, he was the color television analyst for the University of Memphis Tigers football games on ABC 24/UPN 30 for three seasons (2003-05).

Fischer began his radio career in 1992 in St. Louis hosting a daily talk show, St. Louis Rams pre and postgame shows and a weekly football show with former Rams wide receiver Jack Snow. After moving to Las Vegas in 1995, he worked nationally on SportsFan Radio Network, hosting a nightly, six-hour call-in show, a weekly hockey program with NHL Hall of Famer Phil Esposito and a weekly, game-day program with former NFL quarterback Sean Salisbury.

Throughout his broadcasting career, Fischer has covered major sporting events such as the Super Bowl, the Kentucky Derby, the Breeder’s Cup, the Indianapolis 500, the NCAA men’s basketball Final Four and the Summer Olympics.

The St. Louis native is married to wife Dipti and has one daughter, Keegan and one son, Colton.
